Veterans from all service branches, their families, and hundreds of supporters lined the streets in Downtown Springfield on Saturday morning for the annual Veterans Day Parade.
This year's theme highlighted World War II veterans, but all were welcome.
"Getting a chance to talk to the great vets is always important, because we can learn so many things from a historical perspective. And meeting their family members is so important, because they stand for something and they all have stories that we need to remember and respect," said MAJ Leslie Smith, Commanding General, Fort Leonard Wood.
