SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -

Greene County's prosecutor ruled Tuesday police were justified in the deadly shooting of a man in Springfield in February.

29 year old Martin Potts was shot by Springfield police on West Grand on February 22.

Officers were investigating commercial burglaries, and say Potts opened fire when they tried to execute a search warrant at a home.  One bullet grazed a detective on the back.

Officers returned fire, killing Potts.
