HARRISON, Ark.-- -

Boone County authorities say they have caught a suspect believed to be responsible for murdering a Boone County shop owner.

It was at about 4:00 Friday afternoon that Boone county authorities pulled over a green van in Bergman that matched the description of the one seen in surveillance at the crime scene north of Harrison.  Investigators say they took a 54 year old man into custody without incident.  The sheriff says the man gave a fictitious name, and his true name has not yet been released

Investigators believe the suspect is responsible for the murder of 75 year old Adah Lorraine Carte.  Surveillance video provided them with evidence from the crime.

Boone County deputies were called to the Ozark Emporium just north of Harrison at Bear Creek Springs around 7:00 Thursday night, after a neighbor felt things just didn't look right.  Investigators found the 75 year old shop owner's body inside, and say she was murdered the day before, Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators have surveillance video inside and outside the store, which provided a picture of the suspect driving a dark green Ford conversion van.  The sheriff believes the suspect also robbed the store.

The sheriff has not yet said how the shop owner, who went by Lorraine Carte, was killed.  We're told she had run the antique and gift shop for years, and was currently trying to sell it and relocate.
