A Texas woman celebrated her 96th birthday right where she wanted to be: on the job at a Braum's Store.  Eloise Ketchum has worked at the restaurant for the last 17 years.

"I love my customers and I love the people I work with. I think a lot of people come in here with their minds somewhere else, and we joke, especially older people, and it gives their day a brighter day," said Ketchum.

Her coworkers and customers helped Ketchum celebrate her birthday. They say they admire Ketchum for her cheerful spirit and hard work.  One customer says Ketchum can put someone in a good mood, even if they are feeling grouchy.

Ketchum recently was on the sidelines for a few weeks because of a broken foot.

"In the back of my mind, I was wondering if she would be able to come back after that broken foot, but she was calling me every week, telling me, 'I''ll be back,'" said store manager Rhonda Siver.

Ketchum says she couldn't imagine staying at home every day.

"I thank God every morning that I can get up and I can go."
