SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -

Two Springfield Cardinals will suit up with the best of baseball's up and coming best. Major League Baseball has announced the rosters for the 2014 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game will include LHP Marco Gonzales and OF James Ramsey.

The Futures Game, which is now in its 16th year, is a showcase for the top prospects in all of Minor League Baseball during Major League Baseball's All-Star Weekend. It is scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at 4pm (CT) at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN, with the best prospects from the United States taking on the best prospects from other countries around the world.

Gonzales, 22, is scheduled to make his Major League debut with the St. Louis Cardinals today after being called up directly from Springfield this week. The 2014 Texas League All-Star went 3-2 with a 2.33 ERA through seven starts with Springfield after being promoted from High-A Palm Beach on May 16. The Fort Collins, Colorado native entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the Cardinals #5 overall prospect and #2 pitching prospect. He was selected by St. Louis in the 1st round of the 2013 June Draft out of Gonzaga University.

Ramsey, 24, was also named to the 2014 Texas League All-Star Game after putting in one of the best first halves of the season in all of Double-A. The Alpharetta, Georgia native is hitting .307 with 12 home runs and 31 RBIs through 51 games this year. He currently ranks 2nd in the Texas League in home runs, 4th in batting average, 1st in slugging percentage (.550) and 2nd in on-base percentage (.389). Ramsey entered the campaign as the Cardinals #8 overall prospect and #3 outfield prospect. He was selected by the Cardinals in the 1st round of the 2012 June Draft out of Florida State University.
