A woman from Howell County faces sentencing in May for killing her baby girl.  Bobbie Derryberry, 21, pleaded guilty this week to second-degree murder for the death of the child last June.

The girl died after suffering a fractured skull, broken ribs, and bruises on her face, neck and back.

Investigators say Derryberry admitted she dropped the baby on the floor because she wouldn’t stop crying.  She also told police that she hit the child two or three times on the back, face and nose.

At the time, Derryberry had two other children who were living with a legal guardian outside the home.  Derryberry was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sentenced to probation in 2012.
