The big issues on ballots in Missouri on Feb. 5 were the party presidential primary elections. But some school districts, water districts, towns and counties also had financial issues on the ballots.

Here's an explanation of those local issues. Counties that aren't listed had only the presidential primaries on the ballot.

El Dorado Springs School District (parts of Cedar and St. Clair counties) wanted to eliminate the Proposition C (sales tax) rollback of property taxes.

Mountain View (Howell County) asked voters to continue a one-percent city sales tax.

Rockaway Beach (Taney County) wanted a $3.3 million bond issue for water and sewer system improvements, to be repaid by revenues from water and sewer customers.

Rockaway Beach also wanted a $1.2 million general obligation bond issue for water and sewer system improvements, to be repaid from general city funds.

Kirbyville (Taney County) wanted a $900,000 bond issue for sewer system improvements.

The Stone County Health Department wanted an increase of its property tax levy of 16 cents per each $100 of assessed valuation to enhance its services and facilities.

Eminence School District (Shannon County) wanted an increase in its property tax levy ceiling for general operations from $3.44 to $3.49 per each $100 of assessed valuation.

Ozark County Public Water District 1 wanted an $875,000 bond issue to extend and improve its system, to be repaid from revenues from its customers.

Laclede County wanted a five-year renewal of its ½-percent sales tax for multiple purposes, including law enforcement, emergency management and roads.

Briarcliff (Baxter County, Ark.) wanted a 1-percent sales tax for its general operations fund, and in turn would reduce its franchise tax on electricity from 4.25 percent to about 1 percent. (Results not available -area impacted by tornado on Tuesday night.)

Norfolk (Baxter County) wanted to legalize Sunday alcohol sales. (Results not available -area impacted by tornado on Tuesday night.)
