Attorney general candidate Harris talks about opponent Koster

By Gene Hartley

SPRINGFIELD -- One of three declared Democratic candidates for Missouri attorney general, Rep. Jeff Harris of Columbia, was here on Wednesday for a campaign stop. During an interview, he talked about one of his opponents, Sen. Chris Koster of Harrisonville, who switched from the Republican Party last Aug. 1.

The third Democratic candidate is Rep. Margaret Donnelly of St. Louis. The filing deadline for state offices is March 25. So far, Sen. Mike Gibbons of Kirkwood, in St. Louis County, is the only Republican candidate for attorney general and no Libertarian candidate has filed.

Four-term Attorney General Jay Nixon, a Democrat, is running for governor.
