When it comes to shopping, you're probably always looking for a bargain. During the summer, plenty of garage sales can help you find those deals. There are certain used items, however, that you should avoid. These are items that can be dangerous or just plain gross if they've been previously used.

Car Seats
"You don't know for sure if it's been in a crash and all manufacturers recommend replacing a seat because you don't know if it'll hold up to a crash a second time," said Pam Holt with St. John's Trauma Prevention Services.
Plus, car seats don't last forever.
"On the back of the car seat, there is an expiration date stamped into the plastic," said Holt.
