Officials say responding firefighters were called to the scene of the home when a blaze broke out this week. When firefighters began pulling down sheet rock from the walls, a magazine displaying images of young girls was discovered.

El-Zoghby, a professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, was questioned and placed into police custody. He was later released and scheduled for a later court date.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
