Concrete Rains Down On 42nd St. After Truck Collides With Grand Central Terminal Facade

Fragments of concrete rained down onto 42nd Street Tuesday afternoon after a truck struck a part of a facade outside Grand Central Terminal.

The incident happened sometime after 4:10 p.m. police said.


It prompted authorities to close both directions of 42nd Street, resulting in traffic headaches for motorists. Sections of Park Avenue were also closed.

No injuries were reported.
