NEW YORK (PIX11)—A Fort Lauderdale-bound flight was delayed at LaGuardia Airport Monday, after a passenger made a threatening statement, authorities said.
According to Port Authority police, the Spirit Airlines flight was scheduled to depart at 10:45 a.m. but when a flight attendant overheard a passenger make a comment described as "threatening" to another passenger, authorities were called.
The plane was reportedly moved a separate part of the runway, where the man was taken off and placed into police custody.
No injuries were reported.
Soon after the incident, the flight was cleared to leave and departed to Fort Lauderdale.
