1,600 Power Outages In Brooklyn Leaves Residents Sweating It Out

BOROUGH PARK, BROOKLYN (WPIX)—
It was a sea of darkness this morning in many Brooklyn neighborhoods.

Con Ed Workers say there were 1,600 power outages in Brooklyn since the early morning hours. Over 600 of them in Park Slope alone.

In Borough Park, 300 units were out beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday evening.

Con Ed says they are working on the issue and are not sure when all the power will be restored. In the meantime, residents are stuck without air conditioning during a heavy heatwave
