( George Skene, Orlando Sentinel / December 1, 2011 ) The Orange Blossom Special -- a steam locomotive on display at Church Street Station -- has been a sentimental mainstay for downtown visitors for decades. But those days are numbered: The city is looking for someone to take the 100-year-old train engine and its four cars, a museum perhaps. If not, it could end up as scrap. The piece of Orlando's recent history has to go to make way for a new SunRail station. |
