Hall of Fame announces rosters for high school All-Star Games on May 30

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced the players and coaches for the 2008 Missouri Basketball All-Star Games this week. More than 60 of the top 2008 graduating boys and girls basketball players will take part in the games on Friday, May 30, at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, under the direction of the 2008 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association/Richard Fairchild Coaches of the Year.

The event will feature four contests. The Class 1-3 Girls game will tip-off at approximately 4 p.m. with the Class 1-3 Boys game to follow. The evening intermission will feature the Chick-Fil-A Three-Point and Wendy’s Slam Dunk Contests, along with several announcements and presentations.

The newest members of the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame will be recognized during this time as well. The Class 4-5 Girls game will tip-off the evening session around 7 p.m., with the Class 4-5 Boys game to conclude the all-star event.

Tickets for the event are: $6 for 12 years of age or older, $4 for ages 4 to 11, and free to those 3 years of age or younger. For more information, contact the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame at (417) 889-3100.
