Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will induct 14 this winter

SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame near Highland Springs Country Club announced its new induction class on Monday afternoon.

The 14 honorees include former Kansas City Chiefs lineman Will Shields, former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Todd Worell, and former Kansas City Royals first baseman John Mayberry. Local honorees include Reba Sims, who coached basketball, softball, and field hockey at Southwest Missouri State University, Branson head football coach Steve Hancock, and Webb City High School graduate Grant Wistrom, who went on to win a Super Bowl with the St. Louis Rams. Wistrom now lives in Springfield.
