Naturals down Springfield in 10, 4-1

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals struck for three runs in the top of the 10th to claim the 4-1 win in 10 innings against the Springfield Cardinals before 3,013 fans at Hammons Field on Thursday night.

Marred with the ill-favored injury bug, the Central Lady Bulldogs (10-3) showed that they were still more than capable of putting together a full 80 minutes of quality play on Thursday – knocking off the Lebanon Lady Jackets (7-12) by a 3-1 final in Springfield.

Reeds Spring scored its lone run in the top of the first Thursday evening. Fortunately, one was enough.

The cutout is that of a center-fielder leaping against an image of the outfield wall at Kauffman Stadium, the Royals' home.
