Branson Creek Top 100 Retirement Community in US
As all the pundits, experts, and talking heads will tell you, the Baby Boomers are not going into retirement quietly. They want action and adventure, surprises around every corner. 50 is the new 30 after all, so the new 30 wants to enjoy retirement in a non-traditional way. Boomers are far more mobile and willing to travel than the generation before them, and moving to a new city, state, or even country, is par for the course for this group. Many sell the homes their children grew up in—due in part to their children’s dispersing across the country—for easier maintenance, relaxing and upscale neighborhoods that cater to their needs. Where to Retire Magazine creates an annual list of the “Top 100 Places to Retire” in the United States. The factors they consider relate to an active retirement—activities, location, amenities, and friendliness of the people in an area. This year, Hollister’s own Communities at Branson Creek placed in the top 100. Branson Creek is a unique community, offering not one, but two championship golf course, miles of walking trails, access to a Gage’s Long Creek Marina on Table Rock Lake, and four distinct neighborhoods to choose from to fit almost any budget. John Daly’s Murder Rock Golf and Country Club opens this fall to rave review. From its breathtaking mountaintop vistas to its tight fairways and sloping greens, Murder Rock is destined to join the celebrated Branson Creek Golf Course atop Golf Digest’s list of best public courses in the state. Branson Creek Golf Course has been named top public course in Missouri several years in a row, as well as the number 56 course overall in the US But Branson Creek is not all about golf. The neighborhoods offer selection like few developments anywhere. From 1700 square foot Villas to 7000 square foot luxury homes in Oak Knoll Estates, Branson Creek offers something for everyone. A 20 acre lake, private spa, and resorts are all planned to be included in future development of the 11,000 acres property nestled in the Ozark Mountains. The peaceful and spectacular views help residents feel miles away from the hustle and bustle, but the prime location means downtown Branson is just 5 minutes away. Thanks to Where to Retire Magazine, the Boomers are on their way. They are discovering the beauty, the excitement, and the mild weather of Hollister, and they like what they are seeing.
