Little Rock-No shocker at War Memorial Stadium.
Arkansas' two quarterbacks proved to be too much for the Missouri State Bears. The Hogs dominated from the start for a 48-10 victory.
What a start it was. Sophomore kickoff returner Dennis Johnson ran the opening kick back 91-yards for a touchdown. That's his second kickoff return in five games.
But that was only the beginning of a long night for the Bears. Sophomore newcomer Ryan Mallett was all he was hyped to be. The transfer from Michigan was 17-22 for 309 yards and one touchdown. He and redshirt freshman Tyler Wilson combined for a school record 447 yards passing.
Missouri State junior quarterback Cody Kirby had a rough homecoming. The former Rogers(AR) High School star was 12-20 for 107 yards with two interceptions and no touchdown passes.
Bears running back Jonathan Davis scored the only touchdown, a two yard run in the second quarter.
The Bears added a 53 yard field goal from Matt Hottleman to end the scoring.
Back to the Hogs rushing attack. Sophomore and USC transfer Broderick Green rushed for his first touchdown as a Razorback, a one yard run in the second quarter.
True freshman Ronnie Wingo showed flashes of what made him one of the most highly recruited running backs in the country. The St. Louis native rushed eight times for a game high 50 yards on the ground.
The Razorbacks will get a week off befor hosting the SEC's Georgia Bulldogs in Fayetteville.
