Former Seawolf Lawson Signs With NHL's Senators

Goaltender Nathan Lawson has gotten another shot at the NHL, signing a one-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators.  Lawson, who played for UAA between 2005 and 2007, spent all of last season with the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate in Hamilton, owning a record of 19-17-4, five shutouts, and a goals against average of 2 point 57.

Lawson is a veteran of 127 AHL games and was selected to the AHL's all-rookie team following the 2009 season.  His only 10 games at the NHL level have all been with the New York Islanders.

While at UAA, Lawson had career numbers of a .906 save percentage, and a goals against average of 3 point 24.
