Tourism of the Bull Shoals Lake area has been the heart blood of activity and economic development for many years through the efforts and creative thinking of many people.
One such pioneer who was instrumental in drawing national attention through his efforts at travel trade shows, special events, and innovative promotion is John Eastwold.

A special celebration of his commitment to community, family, and tourism will be held on Monday, May 12th at Noon, at the dedication of a special marker at the Lion Overlook Park in Bull Shoals. Overlooking the Bull Shoals Boat Dock and Marina is the perfect place to remember the many years of commitment that John Eastwold gave to make the Bull Shoals Lake area on of the best places in America for families, sportsmen, and retirees.
