NEW ORLEANS—
The New Orleans Spice are the kings of 19 and under baseball.
The Spice beat JPRD East 6-2 Wednesday to win the Dizzy Dean World Series in Southhaven, MS. Spice lefthanded pitcher Zac Thiac was named the tournament MVP.
He was the winning pitcher in the championship game, and was 2-0 in the tournament.
The Spice are coached by Danny Riehm.
