Lake Taneycomo: 50 degrees, normal, clear; upper lake: trout good on flies and Rooster Tails; lower lake: trout good on Power Bait, nightcrawlers and minnows (Report made on 9/22/09)

Pomme de Terre: 71 degrees, normal, clear; crappie good in 15 feet of water around structures; black bass good in 10 to 15 feet of water, best on topwater lures early in morning; white bass good while trolling; walleye good while trolling flats; catfish good on live baits; muskie good in early morning and late evening (Report made on 9/24/09)

Stockton: 72 degrees, normal, clear; crappie good on white and yellow tube jigs on the upper ends of the Big and Little Sac arms of the lake; walleye good on bottom bouncers with minnow or worm combinations while fishing off points (Report made on 9/24/09)

Table Rock (James River arm): 72 degrees, normal, clear; white bass good in early morning or late evening on shallow diving crankbaits, topwater lures and white or shad colored Rooster Tails (Report made on 9/24/09)

Table Rock (main lake): 72 degrees, high, clear; white bass good in early morning or late evening on shallow diving crankbaits, topwater lures and white or shad colored Rooster Tails, watch for surfacing fish near Virgin Bluff, Point 12, Loftin Hole or Point 9 (Report made on 9/24/09)

RIVERS

Big Niangua: 71 degrees, rising, clear; black bass good on soft plastic lures and minnows; trout good on bright colored Power Baits below Bennett Spring; goggle-eye fair on nightcrawlers and other live baits (Report made on 9/24/09)

TROUT PARKS

Bennett Spring State Park: 54 degrees, high, dingy; due to recent rains the spring level is up about 5 inches; successful lures and baits include: jigs (black/yellow, ginger); mini-jigs (white floss and John Deere; dry flies (#12 Cracklebacks and #18 renegade); glo balls (any 3 color combo and white); also successful are kapok, assorted colored Rooster Tails, wooly spinners, yellow Power Baits and trout nip; for more info call (417) 532-4418; for current streamflow information check the streamflow gauge provided by USGS and DNR  (Report made on 9/24/09)

Maramec Spring Park: 58 degrees, spring branch is at normal flow; water is clear; use bright colored baits in white, rainbow, orange and chartreuse; nightcrawlers and jigs also working well (Report made on 9/24/09)

Montauk State Park: 59 degrees, normal, clear; for best results use light line, 2 to 3 lb test; in the fly area: very small dry flies are producing good numbers of fish, scuds and mini marabou jigs suspended under a float and Rooster Tails are also doing well; check at the lodge for other good fly choices; in the bait area: Power Bait in white, yellow, green and blue is working well; corn and prepared doughbaits are also producing good numbers of fish; whistle times for September are 7:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. (Report made on 9/24/09)
