It was a busy weekend for area high school volleyball teams as the state playoffs held both sectionals and quarterfinals on the same day at various locations. Four teams from the KY3 coverage area survived to make the final four tournaments next weekend in Kansas City.
In Class 4, Ozark qualified with a sectional victory over Nixa and a quarterfinal win over Helias (Jefferson City).
Rogersville survived in Class 3 by beating Fulton in the sectional and Republic in the quarterfinals.
No area team made the final four in Class 2. In Class 1, two area schools qualified. Winona beat Sparta in the sectionals and Miller in the quarterfinal to make it to Kansas City, while Osceola advanced with victories over Liberal and New Haven.
