MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kyle Gibson pitched a complete game and
Missouri batters homered twice in the ninth inning as the Tigers beat Kansas State 4-3 on Friday night.
Gibson (6-3) gave up 11 hits and three runs while striking out nine and walking none.
Missouri (20-19, 7-9 Big 12) trailed 2-0 before Trevor Coleman hit a no-out, three-run homer in the ninth off Wildcats reliever Thomas Rooke (4-1). Kyle Mach followed with a solo shot off Rooke to left.
Kansas State (28-10, 7-6) scored one run each in the third, sixth and ninth innings off Gibson, who went the distance for the fifth time this season.
Carter Jurica went 3-for-4 for the Wildcats and drove in a run with a single in the third that scored Dane Yelovich.
