Mizzou gets baseball stadium upgrades

By Chris Replogle

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The University of Missouri's baseball facilities are getting some major improvements. The Tigers want to improve the player experience to gain ground in the Big 12's recruiting races.

It's the first major renovation at Taylor Stadium since 2000 when bleachers and a grandstand were built. Before players return in January, the team will gain indoor hitting cages, a brick fence bordering foul territory and a new video scoreboard.

Future improvements include a clubhouse and coaches' offices along the left-field line and more seating near right field.
