COLUMBIA, mo. -- Mizzou's Gary Pinkel does it again. The University of Missouri's head football coach has received word from the Show-Me-State's top high school receiver, Marcus Lucas, that he'll be a Tiger.
The Liberty High School senior chose the Tigers over some big heavyweight hitters, including University of Arkansas, University of Oklahoma and University of Kansas.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound player was an all-state selection both his junior and senior year. Rivals.com rates him as a 4* and the country's 14th best receiver. His best stat may be his 3.7 grade point average and a qualifying score on the ACT test.
Lucas committed to the Tigers after an official visit on Dec. 19. He likely will play in the Army All-America Game next month in San Antonio.
