FREEPORT, Minn. (AP) — A 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when he became trapped in an auger at a farm in Stearns County.
Sheriff John Sanner says Kurt Herdering was helping with farm chores when he became trapped in the auger on the family farm in Millwood Township north of Freeport Monday shortly after 5 p.m.
KNSI reports the boy was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment, then transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Christine Hill says the boy is in serious condition Tuesday morning.
