The Aberdeen City Council will meet Monday at 4 p.m. in in the courtroom on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St., for a work session for a presentation on library site selection. The council will then meet at 5:30 p.m. in regular session.
Agenda items include:
Ordinance: Possible second reading and final adoption of an ordinance establishing the number of regular, full-time positions and their position titles and fix the bonds of city officials and employees.
Ordinance: Possible second reading and final adoption of an ordinance to provide the fixing of wages for city officials and employees for 2011.
Applications: Set hearing date of Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. for an application for renewal of retail on-sale liquor licenses for the VFW Club, Wagner Holdings and the Ward Plaza Bar and Grill.
Bids: Set bid date of Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. for advertisement for bids for: one airless truck mounted striping machine for the street division, a rubber-tired front end loader for the street division and one 2011 commercial van for the meter division.
License: Possible approval of taxi cab driver license for Doug Sanders.
Reports: Receive and place on file department reports for: airport, park and recreation, city planning commission, county/city planning commission and board of zoning.
Lottery: Receive and place on file lottery notice for James Valley Model Railroad Association.
Hearing: A public hearing and possible approval of a resolution approving the 2011-15 capital improvement program with or without amendments.
Resolution: Possible approval of a resolution lifting the moratorium on the construction of smoking areas for on-sale establishments.
Hearings: Continue hearings on the following applications for renewal of alcoholic beverage licenses for one week to allow for inspections by health department: retail on-sale liquor licenses for Lagers Inn, The Zoo, Circus Sports Bar and Grill, Shenanigans, The Drink, Silver Dollar Bar and Wild Oats Sports Bar; package off-sale liquor licenses for Silver Dollar Bar and Wild Oats Sports Bar; and retail on-off sale wine license for Wild Oats Sports Bar.
Change order: Possible approval of change order for the seven-day contract extension to Gray Construction for additional work to the railroad restoration project HVAC and electrical upgrade.
Recommendation: Possible approval to accept a bid of $5,000 from Veblen Fire and Rescue for the 2000 Ford ambulance.
