    Hundreds of dancers will be kicking up their heels at <a title="University Plaza Hotel website" href="http://www.upspringfield.com/?src=ppc_google_brand_officialsite" target="_blank">University Plaza Hotel</a> this weekend.&nbsp; It's the 2nd annual <a title="Show Me Showdown website" href="http://www.showmeshowdowndance.com/" target="_blank">Show Me Showdown</a>.&nbsp; The 4 day competition also features workshops with professional dancers-- including Anne and Andy Walls with Springfield's "<a title="Dance With Me website" href="http://www.dancewithme.us/" target="_blank">Dance With Me</a>."&nbsp; KY3's Maria Neider will be competing in an entry level category.&nbsp; She'll be joining Jim Criger, her pro partner from this year's Dancing With The Stars of Branson.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Drivers here are paying 15 cents more a gallon for gas on Wednesday morning than Tuesday night, as prices for regular unleaded gas at some stations jumped from $3.59 to $3.74 overnight.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Just a couple of weeks ago, prices were as low as $3.19 in Springfield. Now they've jumped 55 cents a gallon since that time.

    WASHINGTON, D.C. -- More than 1.2 million African-Americans saw combat during World War 2.&nbsp; Around the same number were drafted or enlisted for non-combat jobs to support the U.S. military around the globe during that war.&nbsp; The latest Ozarks Honor Flight from Springfield, Mo., to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday included an African-American veteran from Springfield who recalled how they also fought a different war on the home front.
