    LEBANON, Mo. -- A former attorney was charged on Tuesday with four misdemeanor charges of assault and one misdemeanor charge of false impersonation.&nbsp; The charges against Eric Hutson, 52, are based on something that a 19-year-old woman said happened at the law offices of Hutson and Hutson in Lebanon last October.&nbsp; The Missouri Supreme Court suspended Hutson&rsquo;s law license for at least three years last July.

    WARSAW, Mo. -- A man from Eudora in southwest Polk County received a life (30-year) prison sentence for killing his nephew last year.&nbsp; A jury convicted Shannon Shaffer Sr., 39, of second-degree murder last January for running over Tommy Bryant Jr., 28, in the driveway of Bryant&rsquo;s home near Eudora.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bryant, who was known to friends and relatives as Bo, died on April 22, 2012.
