    WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Two men who fled from the Dixon city jail on Sunday night were charged on Monday with escaping from confinement, just hours after both were back in custody.  They also are charged for a burglary in the wee hours of Monday morning.  Prosecutors also charged another inmate who is believed to have helped them get away.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A driver who killed a pedestrian two years ago received a suspended four-year prison sentence on Friday.  A judge ordered Ahmed Almahuzi to serve 120 days of shock time in the Greene County jail and then to serve five years of probation.

    JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri Supreme Court overturned the murder conviction of man who was sentenced to life in prison for the slaying of a woman on a neighboring farm in 1990.  The state's high court ruled Tuesday that prosecutors withheld evidence that could have helped Mark Woodworth defend himself, and which might have cast doubt on his guilt.

  15. Suspect is in custody, not charged for two murders in Morgan County

    VERSAILLES, Mo. -- Law enforcement officers have a suspect for the murders of an elderly couple on Monday night.  Ronald Blowers, 25, who lives in the Ivy Bend area, was not charged for the murders as of Thursday, but he is charged with resisting arrest and trying to harm officers.  A judge set his bond at $1 million, an unusually high amount for a resisting arrest charge.  Blowers was paroled from a state prison two weeks ago.
