    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A former YMCA camp employee received a 20-year federal prison sentence without chance of parole for sexually exploiting children.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Matthew O&rsquo;Dell, 29, of Springfield was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes on Wednesday.&nbsp; O'Dell, who was formerly employed at the YMCA's Camp Wakonda in Lawrence County, will spend the rest of his life on supervised release following incarceration.

    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing discount retailer Dollar General Corp., and a BMW manufacturing plant in South Carolina over their use of criminal background checks to screen out job applicants or fire employees.&nbsp; The agency says the policies discriminate against African Americans. The two lawsuits filed Tuesday are the first since the agency revised its guidance last year to warn employers against overly broad criminal checks to screen workers.&nbsp;&nbsp; The EEOC says the BMW policy doesn't consider the nature of the crimes or how old they are. It alleges that Dollar General fired one employee even though the conviction report about her was wrong.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Officials at BMW and Dollar General did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A woman from Florida who followed a new boyfriend to Springfield apparently was murdered three months before her rotting, decomposed body turned up in a trash container behind a home.&nbsp;&nbsp; How and why Kelly Frech died likely will never be known, because a Marionville police officer shot and killed Adam Bergseth, who detectives and prosecutors have concluded was Frech&rsquo;s murderer.&nbsp;&nbsp; The murder investigation, though, found Bergseth and his girlfriends enjoyed sexually swinging, and Bergseth often told different stories about his life.
