•Police are investigating two burglaries reported Feb. 8 at an apartment complex on the 16800 block of South Harlem Avenue. The relative of a resident reported her diamond wedding ring, valued at $7,000, and $100 in cash taken between Jan. 16 and Feb. 1. Another resident, seeing police in the complex, reported files, bedding and towels had been taken from her home during two intrusions and $60 cash had been taken during a third intrusion in December 2012.
•Two work vehicles with extended parking privileges were reported stolen from a motel parking lot on the 18300 block of La Grange Road. A 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass reportedly disappeared between Feb. 5 and 10, and a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier reportedly disappeared between Feb. 1 and 9. Out-of-town workers from two companies used the vehicles during regular stays at the motel.
•A 26-year-old Tinley Park man from the 15900 block of Blackwater Court was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility on Feb. 8 for DUI, improper lane usage, possession of cannabis under 30 grams and possession of drug equipment. This happened after an early morning traffic stop at 159th Street and Will-Cook Road in Homer Glen by Will County sheriff's police.
•A 44-year-old Tinley Park man from the 19400 block of Mayfield Place allegedly almost hit an Orland Park squad car head-on on the 16200 block of La Grange Road at 11:48 p.m. Jan. 17. A police officer driving northbound said the southbound Ford F-250 pickup truck came at him in the northbound center lane but crossed over the median into the southbound lanes. The Tinley Park resident is scheduled to appear in Cook County Circuit Court on Feb. 28 on charges of DUI, driving in the wrong lane and improper lane use. Police towed and impounded the vehicle.
•A 43-year-old New Lenox woman from the 1900 block of Spencer Road was charged with DUI and leaving a personal-injury collision Feb. 8 in connection with a late-evening multiple-vehicle crash at Laraway Road and Foxwood Drive. Police cited the woman at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where she was being treated for crash-related injuries.
•A 29-year-old New Lenox man from the 100 block of Pottawatomie Lane was charged with DUI and driving 15-20 mph above the posted speed limit after an early morning Feb. 13 traffic stop at Schoolhouse Road and Harvey Drive by Will County sheriff's police. He is to be arraigned March 7.
•A 26-year-old Chicago Heights man from the 1100 block of Schilling Avenue has been charged with one count of identity theft involving $300-$2,000 and three counts of unauthorized possession of a debit or credit card Jan. 8 in New Lenox. He was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility on Feb. 13.
•Two New Lenox residents who live four miles from each other reported the week of Feb. 10 that their identities had been stolen. A resident on the 700 block of Princeton Lane told police Feb. 12 that personal information had been used for unauthorized purchases. On Feb. 13, a resident of the 100 block of Victorian Drive said personal information had been used without authorization to obtain credit.
•A 22-year-old New Lenox woman from the 1100 block of Hickory Creek Drive has been charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Feb. 3 traffic stop near Lincoln Highway and Elsner Road. She is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit Court on Feb. 25 for a preliminary hearing.
•A reciprocating saw, impact drill, cordless drill and four 12-volt batteries were reported stolen Feb. 5 from an unlocked van parked on the 20000 block of South Frankfort Square Road in Frankfort Square.
•A 25-year-old Orland Park woman from the 9100 block of Wheeler Drive was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility on Feb. 9 on citations for DUI and improper parking in connection with an early morning Feb. 9 traffic stop near Lincoln Highway and Harlem Avenue.
