Q: I was scouring Google and the web for my favorite banana bread recipe that I think my husband accidentally threw in the trash. I won't make another banana bread without it!

What would be useful here is some sort of idea of where the recipe came from: Cookbook, magazine, family member or friend. Then, I could try to narrow it down for you.

Banana banana bread
Prep: 15 minutes. Cook: 1 hour, 5 minutes Makes: 12 servings

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
1.Lightly grease a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. Combine flour, baking soda, salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
2.Bake in a 350-degree oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
