GARRETT — The team of Owen Bower, Robert Harper, John Allen and Barry Yoder combined to shoot a 4-under par for first place honors in the Piney Run senior golf scramble Monday.
Second place (3-under) was nailed down by the team of Tom Thomas, John Ralston, Dennis Young and Gary Miller.
Thomas and Dave Williams were 50/50 winners. Tom Lindeman was closest to the pin on hole No. 9, Harper sank the longest putt on No. 2 and Dennis Young on No. 5.
Roger Witt, John Ralston, Ed Younkin and Ernie Smith combined to shoot a 5-under par to win the afternoon scramble. Second place (3-under) went to Williams, Jim Drake, Harper and John Allen.
Kicker winners were Witt, closest to the pin on No. 9, Jake Knotts, longest putt on No. 2 and Barry Yoder, longest putt on No. 5.
The next Piney Run senior scramble tees off at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Northwinds seniors
INDIAN LAKE — George Gonzales, David Williams and Allan Klaum combined to shoot a sizzling 9-under par for first place honors in the Northwinds senior scramble Monday.
Second place (6-under) was decided by a card-off. Runners-up team members were Mike Harber, Al Hendershot, Bob Weigle and Bob Baltzer.
