Soup sale
The Milford United Methodist Church’s Women’s Fellowship Vegetable Soup Sale Sept. 28. Soup will be available per quart. Place an order by Sept. 24 by calling 814-445-2371 (Margaret Klink) or 814-445-8144 (Nellie Wolk). Pick up times for soup orders will be Sept. 28 between 4 and 6 p.m. at the Milford United Methodist Church grove off the Water Level Road at 368 Bando Road, Somerset. Bring your own containers.
Fall Festival
The 5th annual Fall Festival at Rockwood Fire Hall, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 29. Hayrides, fire truck rides, food vendors, children’s activities, contests and entertainment. Benefits the Rockwood fire department. 814-926-4030.

Taste of LH
The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra Somerset Auxiliary “Taste of the Laurel Highlands” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at Green Gables Restaurant, 7712 Somerset Pike, Jennerstown. Bike n Hike
The fourth Somerset County Habitat for Humanity Bike ’N Hike 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22 at the Rockwood trailhead for the Great Allegheny Passage. Participants will bike toward Garrett and hikers will walk toward Markleton. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Bake sale
The Ridge Church’s Office and Outreach Center bake sale/basement sale Sept. 28-29 to benefit the Outreach Center and help defer the costs of Operations for the A.C.T.S. (Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series) Ministry. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Ridge Church Office & Outreach Center, 485 Berlin Plank Road, Somerset, right on the corner of South Lynn Avenue and Berlin Plank Road.
