Laurel Hill
Laurel Hill State Park, 1454 Laurel Hill Park Road, Somerset, 814-445-7725, consists of 4,072 acres of mountainous terrain in Somerset County. The 63-acre Laurel Hill Lake is a focal point of the park. Snowshoeing on 12 miles of hiking trails. Sledding hill is in the field loop area of the campground. Snowmobiling a 10-mile trail system connects with an more than 70-mile trail system in Forbes State Forest. Trail maps are available at the park office. Ice fishing 63-acre Laurel Hill Lake. Ohiopyle State Park encompasses about 19,052 acres. The focal point is the more than 14 miles of the Youghiogheny River Gorge. Cross-country skiing 33.9 miles of trails. A hill in the Sugarloaf Snowmobile and Mountain Bike Area, adjacent to the parking area suitable for sledding. Snowmobiling the 15.9 miles of the Sugarloaf Trail System and Pressley Ridge Trail.
