BOSWELL — North Star flattened visiting Richland 54-27 in a junior high wrestling match Friday.
Recording falls for the Cougars were Eric Colangelo at 95 pounds; Case Tretter, 105; Chris Reckner, 122; Brady Gardner, 130; Kyle Supanick, 138; Gus Strasiser, 145; and Dillion Charlton, 165.
North Star (6-7) will host Meyersdale on Tuesday.
Senior bowling
SOMERSET — The team of John Mostoller, Jim Maust and Devon Miller scattered 1,929 pins for top senior bowling honors Friday at Terrace Lanes.
Second place went to Dave Wood, Nene Lizmabri and Eileen McLaughlin with 1,907 scattered pins. Third place went to Jerry Chabol, John McLaughlin and Loretta Wilmoth with 1,893 scattered pins.
