    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- City leaders picked Lisa Cox to be the public affairs officer for the Springfield Police Department, effective April 30.   Cox will work in the Department of Public Information and Civic Engagement but will serve as the primary contact for the police department's inquiries from reporters.  She’ll also issue news releases and work to enhance SPD’s social media presence.
