Times Data Desk's HeatMeter, which tallies points at events throughout the season to gauge the overall traction of people and films. With Ben Affleck's "Argo" piling up the wins, it's taken the lead in the overall film race (which incorporates all wins for a movie, and for everyone from directors to actors to cinematographers).

  5. How much does that touring actor make?

That actor you're watching onstage tonight? He or she might well have skin in the game. And I speak not just of art or hunger for applause. I talk of cold, hard cash.

  23. Franco Says He and Hathaway Made Up.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway had a falling out after they hosted the 2011 Oscars, but Franco insists they are all good now. During a radio interview earlier this week he was asked about the feud, which prompted Franco to say that Hathaway “does not want me to talk about this.” When asked about all the hate that has been thrown at the Les Miz star lately, Franco said, “I’m not an expert on – I guess they’re called Hatha-haters,” and added that he and Anne “haven’t talked in a while.” But, he insists they don’t hate each other. Said Franco, “Anne and I made up by the way. Let’s just get that on the record.” In the same interview, Franco admitted that he once had the chance to sleep with Lindsay Lohan but passed. The incident happened years ago when they were both living at the Chateau Marmont hotel.
