Sacramento Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for dismembering and killing 50-year-old Arun Singh back in August of 2010.
Sgt. Norm Leong says a crime tip led detectives to identify 21-year-old Daniel Foalima as a suspect in the murder.
Sacramento firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the early morning hours of August 7th. There, they discovered Singh dead inside the apartment.
Police and arson investigators now believe that Daniel Foalima was attempting to rob Singh when he murdered him. He then went on to dismember the victim and attempted to burn the apartment in order to conceal evidence of the crime, police say.
Foalima was already in custody on a parole violation and was arrested on the murder charge today.
