The company is removing certain 10.9, 21.8 and 40.7 ounce canisters from distribution because it was alerted by ingredient supplier Omya Incorporated of a recall on its ingredient Calcium Carbonate due to a possible presence of Salmonella.
There have been no reports of any illnesses or adverse health effects associated with the affected product.
Company officials say the recall is confined to a small amount of Nesquik chocolate powder.
It's important for consumers to check the UPC and productions codes, as well as the best by date; all three must match to be part of the recall.
