  19. Once, God told us who he is

Eons ago, long before the birth of Christ, there were people in Egypt who were the benefactors of God’s grace. They kept asking for an identity. Who is this individual who instructs us to worship Him? Finally, perhaps aggravated, God told his servant to say: “Tell them I am that … I AM.”  “Just tell them that,” He said, “because if you tell them I am Jehovah, you won’t tell them I am Creator. If you tell them I am the Feast of the Tabernacles, you won’t tell them I am the Feast of Unleavened Bread. If you tell them I am the Disposer of events, you won’t tell them I am Judge of all. If you tell them I am that One who searches hearts, you won’t tell them I am the Sanctuary and Refuge. If you tell them I am the Father of Lights, you won’t tell them I am the God of Heaven. If you tell them I am the God of Hosts, you won’t tell them I am the Lord of Lords. If you tell them I am the Lord of Sabaoth, you won’t tell them I am the Mighty God. If you tell them I am Omnipresent, you won’t tell them I am Omniscient. If you tell them I am Omnipotent, you won’t tell them I am the Most High God. Just tell them I am that I AM and nothing more needs to be said.”
