It may have been over 100 degrees on Saturday, July 28, but Jerseys Grill and Bar was keeping their customers cool during their Kickoff Party.
Jerseys held the grand opening for their Sand Bar and GameOn Sand Volleyball Court on Saturday. Customers got a chance to watch some of Wichita's best volleyball players compete on their new sand volleyball pit, all while enjoying refreshing beverages from their Sand Bar. There were shades set up around the volleyball courts, along with folding chairs so everyone could relax in the summer heat.
The winners of the volleyball tournament were Jeff Sanders, Harvey Sanders, Kiersten Sanders, RJ Abella and Cali Simmons.
As part of the Kickoff Party, Jerseys Grill and Bar also hosted a car show. Wichitans brought their custom and antique cars out to show off. If customers wanted a break from volleyball, they could walk over to the car show.
With Jerseys Grill and Bar's new Sand Bar, they're hoping to create more of a hang out than just a restaurant. On the weekends customers can come out and watch volleyball tournaments, and even participate themselves. In the evenings, Jerseys will be offering live music on their new stage.
