Stewart and Patrick have both turned down opportunities to race in the Indianapolis 500 this year to focus on the entire Sprint Cup operation.

NASCAR is changing the name and format for one of its races.
The race formerly known as the Bud Shootout is now called the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona. The Feb. 16 race will be the fist with the Generation 6 cars.
Along with the name change fans can also vote on the format, whether or not there is a pit stop and the number of tires changed, and the number of cars eliminated after the second segment. The race is at 8 p.m. Feb. 16.
Fans have the following options to vote on:
RACE FORMAT: 1) 40/20/15 laps 2) 35/30/10 laps 3) 30/25/20 laps. Voting for the race format closes at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 13.
PIT STOP TIRE CHANGES: 1) No pit stop. 2) two tires. 3) four tires. Voting closes after the green flag of the first segment.
ELIMINATION (number of cars eliminated after the second segment): 1) No elimination. 2) two cars. 3) four cars. 4) six cars. Voting closes at the green flag of the second segment.
