The Hall of Fame media selection committee voted in McAllister and Benson, who will be inducted officially on Friday, September 21, 2012.
Deuce was a two time Pro Bowler, and a first round pick of the club in 2001.
The rule that an individual must be three years removed from the game was waived for Benson. The only other time that was done was for the late Jim Finks.
One day, Drew Brees will be in the Saints Hall of Fame, but right now he is unsigned as the Saints franchise tagged player.
Benson said he talked to Brees recently: "There's money involved and two people have some difference of opinion, but it's going to be worked out. I assure you that Drew Brees will be playing here."
General manager Mickey Loomis wouldn't comment when asked if the Saints and Brees are at a negotiating impasse.
Loomis said contract talks are just the course of business in the NFL: "Lots of guys have gone into the last year and have been without a contract, and negotiations are hard some times. It just happens. It is a common part of our business."
Long-time Saints play-by-play voice Jim Henderson is this year's Fleur de Lis Award winner for his contributions to the club.
And a special Legacy Wing will be created at the Hall of Fame, in honor of beloved former saint Steve Fleason, who is battlingLou Gehrig's Disease.
Gleason joked that he always had to find a way to fit in in the NFL, and so it was with the Saints Hall of Fame: "Thanks to the committee for being creative enough for finding a way to include me."
