2 children injured in Melrose Park by falling bricks

Two children were seriously injured when winds from Thursday's storm knocked bricks off a building.

The top of a building in Melrose Park fell onto the sidewalk below after the storm came through.


The wind, rain and heat all played a role in the concrete falling apart.

A 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl suffered serious head injuries.

Three other people refused medical treatment.
