The Bronx District Attorney's office said the hotline was created in wake of the sexual misconduct claims made by a former student who said the school was plagued with abuse for several years in the 1980s and early 1990s.
The hotline number is (718) 838-7382. All calls to the hotline will be kept confidential.
Sexual abuse by at least three Horace Mann teachers and coaches, allegedly covered up for decades, was exposed in the Times report written by 1982 graduate Amos Kamil.
The report also exposed outlines several alleged incidents of molestation over a nearly 15-year period - from 1978 to 1994.
The school's response was discreeet, according to Kamil, who writes Horace Mann did not involve parents - or police, during its "internal investigations."
Kamil writes that one student who he claims suffered abuse for years - Ben Balter, committed suicide in 2009.
Two other accused staffers have since been relieved of their duties.
