California-based L.A. Fitness announced Monday that it will purchase 171 Bally Total Fitness locations around the country.
The deal includes the purchase of a location near Pike Plaza on Indianapolis' northwest side.
The announcement is the latest shakeup for health clubs. Lifestyle Fitness announced they are moving out of the state last week. Cardinal Fitness also shut down 6 area locations earlier in the month.
The deal is expected to be finished by the end of the month.
